Listen, I don't let it bother me But the actions of the tories are an atrocity Spent my life growing up in a broke city A place where even a kind man's generosity Comes across as a rich man's apology Wanted as much as pizza with broccoli Gather all, poverty porn's brand-new novelty And these celebrities, they like to pretend they're just like me But you've never done 3 to 3 A 12-hour shift makes the head dizzy Made you so much, would've thought I was cooking you money And my thanks? A box of Maltesers, dummy A different store a year later said not enough experience You can't work for this company The capitalist ideology makes my head fuzzy How you can put others below you is beyond me We have to raise each other up, make ourselves sturdy Their beliefs are more than unfunny Dangerousness, creates a road that's bumpy That we have to salute our country Deciding where home is might seem free But the cost is something we can't see Displacing each other constantly You hear these rhymes and you say really But the system is operated corruptly I've seen it hinder people like you and me You and me Saying keep fluttering along little bee One day you might be able to reach the top of the tree

about

The original version of Compliance, Worker Bee had vocals. However, as the EP developed, the choice was made to keep it instrumental only.

After the success of 14A: HAUNTED BY THE NIGHT, I returned to the original lyrics I had written, edited them slightly, and recorded them at Matthew Jameson's home studio - with himself and Yes Plant's Adam Tyson adding vocals as well.
Yes Plant is composed of myself (Tired Trace), Matthew Jameson and Adam Tyson.

As the title suggested, this track was created from my anger towards the capitalist ideology and how it affected my life following the incident that inspired 14A: HAUNTED BY THE NIGHT.

Since it was written, much has happened including partygate and the cost-of-living crisis, which has solidified my desire to have these lyrics added to the track.

The release of this single is the ending of the 14A 'era'. I am working on a follow up EP, but details about that are hush hush - sorry! Huge thank you to anyone who has ever listened to my music, the support I have received with 14A has been incredible.
I also would like to give a special thank you to: Joe Foreman, Mohammed Haris, Alana Wan, Jess Marton, Ben Warburton, George Hewitt, Amelia Wilkinson, Lewis Kell, Martin Briggs, Ellie Moss, Dan Godden for being present during the 14A release DJ set.
But I'd also like to say a huge thank you to Matthew Jameson and Adam Tyson, two of my best mates, that both 14A and this single would be not exist without. Matthew Jameson released a french-house album earlier this year, titled This Side Down, listen to it!
