Blood! (feat. Yes Plant)
02:36
|
|||
Performed by: Jake Anderson, Adam Tyson, Matthew Jameson
Written by: Jake Anderson
[Verse 1: Adam Tyson]
I severed his helmet from his shoulders,
The crackled fire began to smoulder,
The flames burned bright,
Hypnotised the beholder, (Blood on the floor)
I witnessed the head roll across the floor,
I left stunned at the face it wore,
A theft occurred; it was mine I saw. (Blood on the floor)
I trembled at my eyes meeting my own,
The face imperfect,
It couldn’t be a clone; it couldn’t be my own (Blood on the floor)
I beat my antagonist, sat on his throne,
A pacifist, a sanctuary out of a home,
I remember it, my fleeting groan,
Myself now just another stone.
[Chorus: Tired Trace + Matthew Jameson]
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
[Verse 2: Tired Trace]
Pierced the body with your jagged blade,
Stabbed through, left their wounds,
The brightness begins to fade,
The rushing river runs red, gushing down to the body bends,
Mice swim up, slip in through the flesh,
Their bites will interrupt, the vessel gives in, nevertheless. (Blood on the floor)
My body begins to decompose, my body begins to decompose,
My body has shattered, out of my back the flowers begin to grow,
The icy winds tear at the skin exposed, fingers snapped and froze,
Pecked at by the crows, hearing the town’s woes, this was the life I chose.
[Chorus: Tired Trace + Matthew Jameson]
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
[Verse 3: Tired Trace]
When my times comes, as one of God’s many sons,
As the angels bang the drums, and into the ground I succumb,
I hope I made it to the man I wanted to become.
I hope I made it to the man I wanted to become.
[Chorus: Tired Trace + Matthew Jameson]
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor
Riding through the front door, Blood on the floor

[Interlude: Nicole Sian]
Nakita Ko siya nung
Sumakay ako ng metro
Hindi sa rimula pero nung,
Umupo nako tapos.
Tsaka sumirado ang mga pinto,
Haka ko siya yung mukha,
Hiyai hindi hiya ko Nakita
Pero hakikala ko siya agad.
Sabi ko nakita kita,
Sabi niya raan,
Sabi ko bumaba ka sa,
Metro tapos ako sumakay,
Lagi nalang ha mimiss yung,
Ma nga interaction.

Light

Written by: Jake Anderson
[Verse 1: Tired Trace]
I used to think I wanted intimacy,
But now I think I’m just scared of intimacy,
The slightest sign of positivity, and I’m a deer in headlights,
Thoughts on this keep me up on cold winter nights,
Getting up in the morning becomes its own fight,
I stare up, questioning the legitimacy of the light,
Leaving their teeth marks until it’s at least midnight.
[Verse 2: Tired Trace]
Splattered across the stone of the resting place,
The veiled blinds weep, reflections gaze with disgrace,
Uninspired in the face, written in the skies,
Tired Trace tries, ticks forward clockwise.
The inevitable dies, wipe the weary eyes,
Light comes to feast and cannibalise,
Motivating the spirit, make it motorised,
Remove the soul from the art, the beeps harmonise,
Uniqueness and creativity are sterilised,
Statues rust, the façade of the idealised.
[Verse 3: Tired Trace]
Rest became a luxury for the working man,
Remain there, it’s compulsory,
You’ll be rewarded at the end of your lifespan,
I’m trying to remember when the dissociating began,
I’m having trouble locating a plan, waiting for what I can,
Do, stare up into radiating light, glare at the feelings retreating,
Matchmaker, meet your might.
[Verse 4: Tired Trace]
Rip my brain out my skull,
Drip, it’s flooding, brink of nearly full,
Everyday I want to collapse and breakdown,
Convery that the cracks are making me drown,
Being haunted by the night,
Seeming distorted by the fright,
Awarded the feeling of just alright,
Transported back into the sleeping of tonight,
(it’s not like every night, it’s not like every night, it’s not like every night)
The suffocation of life is something we all face,
The realisation of what the light will bring is in our fate

Stay (feat. Alana Wan)
02:55
|
|||
Performed by: Alana Wan, Jake Anderson
Written by: Jake Anderson, Alana Wan
[Verse 1: Tired Trace]
Meeting at the wrong time,
Life, a constant antagonist,
Tracked for the path of decline,
You’re my destructive catalyst.
[Verse 2: Alana Wan]
You always find some way to escape,
Leaving before anything serious takes shape,
Scared to make most of the day,
Answering when I asked you to stay.
What are you afraid of?
You should’ve stayed (I should’ve stayed)
What’s holding you back?
You should’ve stayed (I should’ve stayed)
What happens to us?
You should’ve stayed (I should’ve stayed)
[Verse 3: Tired Trace]
When I’m around they’re not on your mind,
Maybe what I see, maybe I’m just blind,
I’m moving on, I’m leaving that behind,
Maybe another time, maybe we’re intertwined.
[Verse 4: Alana Wan]
Maybe in the future,
We’re now out of time,
Your trains at the end of its track,
There’s no time to unpack,
You’ll be waiting a bit longer for the next one to arrive.
